Options Singapore and Me
Hi, my name is Neo Pok Chow, creator of Options Singapore, a site to showcase my passion for options trading. My friends call me Pok Chow or Pok and you can too.
I turned 21 years old in August and I just got done with my military term shortly before that (ORD LOH!). Right now, I am waiting for university admission to study Business Management.
Other than Options Singapore, I also happen to be a fitness enthusiast, food lover, a basketball fanatic and seeker of the world’s vast knowledge.
Coming to my site, please feel at ease and light hearted. I am a fun loving guy who enjoys humor. Why so serious
Why do I trade?
My first options trade was opened back on February the 28th. I see trading as a way to attain capital gain for my money, rather than putting it in the bank and getting no returns at all. That is the reason I have decided to go out and acquire a skill that would allow me to compound my money over the course of the next 40, 50 , 60 years of my lifetime.
Since then, I have fallen in love with this math game and I’ve turned into a junkie! Countless hours of hard work and studying have allowed me to hone the trade (pun intended).
I believe that hard work multiply by time equals to success. And sure enough, it pays to work hard!
My goal is to achieve financial freedom by the age of 30 and Options Trading is one of the ways I plan to do it by. I also have goals to travel the world speaking on different stages inspiring people.
About Options Singapore
How did it come about?
I created Options Singapore for a few reasons.
First of all, Options Singapore will be used to keep track of my growth as a trader. Some people believe it will take 3 years to be really good, others believe 3 months is a possibility. Whatever it is, the website and its readers shall determine that. Setting up the site will also reinforce my commitment to trading.
Second of all, I like to educate and share with people. There are many of my peers who have no clue about personal finance. I find that worrying. Which is why I have the site up with useful content to hopefully help raise awareness about this worrying matter among the younger generation.
Third, Options Singapore will also be providing valuable practical knowledge to help YOU! Yes, not just my peers, but people of different country and different generation. The content I put out are systematic and very applicable. Use it!
Fourth, I wish to use Options Singapore as a platform to reach out to other options trader in Singapore and the whole world, as a matter of fact, to explore opportunities. It will be a place where options trader in Singapore, as well as overseas, come to learn, have fun and discuss strategies.
Options Singapore-What to expect?
Trading Option in Singapore is a relatively new thing even though the concept of Options Trading has been around since 332 B.C.
What I hope to accomplish is to deliver my understanding of options trading to my readers and hopefully they can adopt and apply the knowledge learnt from me. The content is not meant to spoon feed anybody but to provoke them to think about it and to try figure it out themselves.
Do ask questions and feedback whenever you deem fit. However, some rules with regard to asking questions. People always say that “no question is a stupid question” and to “not be afraid to ask questions”. I agree with that except that I simply can’t tolerate with 2 types of questions-
1 . Questions that are absolutely dependable and really just shows how lazy the person asking it is. I mean, GIYF! Google is your friend! See, I even provided the link for you. Do you want me to get you your coffee too, you monkey!
2. Asking questions without even thinking it through first. Think before you ask. No point throwing you a bone here if you really want to succeed! Try to figure it out yourself first. Only ask if you really can’t figure it out.
Nothing worth having comes easy.
People have asked me if options trading is easy or does it make a lot of money. Keeping it real, it isn’t. Treat options trading as a brand new topic just like how biology and chemistry are different topics in your school. You have to learn.
Options trading is not a get rich quick scheme. Don’t get hooked by the fancy touting of get rich quick schemes. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. We aim for consistency here.
With that, here’s to the success of Options Singapore.
